This is an information about holiday service changes for trash collection. In observance of Christmas Day, Mission Country Disposals offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and there will be no trash, recycling, or organics collection services on this day. 

Service adjustments for the week are as follows:

• Monday and Tuesday customers: no changes to your service.
• Wednesday customers: Collection will occur on Thursday. 
• Thursday customers: Collection will occur on Friday. 
• Friday customers: Collection will occur on Saturday. 

Please ensure your containers are placed out for service by 6:00 AM on your scheduled collection day.  

HOLIDAYS-ADDITIONAL WASTE

As we clean up after the holidays, we'd like to share a friendly reminder on how to properly dispose of extra waste you may have during this time:

• Wrapping Paper: Place in your trash container, not in your recycling container. 
• Tissue Paper: Dispose in your trash container, or fold and save it for future gift wrapping.
• Cardboard Boxes: Break down and place them in your recycling container.
• Ornaments: Dispose of broken ornaments in your trash container.
• Food Scraps: Place food scraps and food-soiled napkins directly into your green cart, unbagged. These materials are transformed into compost and used in local parks, farms, and wineries. 
• Holiday Trees: Remove all decorations, cut tree into pieces no longer than 4 feet, with branches under 6 inches in diameter, and place the pieces into your green container. 

Please make sure container lids are closed flat to prevent litter. Containers with lids left open may be subject to an extra/overage fee. If you have extra waste of large items, just give us a call at 805-543-0875!
