Community Services Districts Principle Enabling Act
The Los Osos Community Service District is a form of local government formed by popular vote to provide up to 32 different services such as: water, garbage collection, wastewater management, security, fire protection, public recreation, street lighting, mosquito abatement services, etc.. Government Code 61000 (above) describes how the district is governed, managed, what it can or cannot do and the process for day to day operations and meetings. This law is the principle act of the district and is also called the Community Services District Law.
